Governing bodies

Istituto Oikos is governed by the Assembly of Members, which approves the financial statements and defines the organization's strategic guidelines, inspired by its Vision and Mission and outlined in the 2023–2026 Strategic Plan.
Executive management is entrusted to the Board of Directors, which steers and oversees day-to-day operations. The Board is composed of a President – acting as guarantor – a Vice President, a Secretary, and two additional members.
The Board of Directors is supported by a Scientific Committee, a Supervisory Body, and a Statutory Auditor.

Our team counts over 150 people – environmental and development professionals working in Italy and across the world.
The organizational structure of Oikos is divided into five departments, all reporting to the Director. These departments cover the following functions: Administration and Management Control, Communication and Education for Sustainability, Environmental Programmes – Italy and Europe, International Cooperation, Project Reporting and Compliance
