For over thirty years, Istituto Oikos has been committed to safeguarding biodiversity and promoting sustainable development. Our name—Oikos—comes from ancient Greek and means home.

It reflects a core belief: Earth is the shared home of all living forms—a place where humans and nature can coexist in balance, and where our actions not only avoid harming ecosystems, but actively help to regenerate them.

Rebuilding, strengthening, and harmonizing the relationship between people and the environment is our priority. We pursue this through tangible, often innovative initiatives that combine environmental protection with well-being and social inclusion.
