A NEW CHAPTER IN THE FIGHT TO PROTECT NATURE

The Mediterranean is a magnificent yet fragile ecosystem, increasingly stressed by the overexploitation of natural resources and the climate crisis. In this context, Tunisia offers fertile ground for bold and innovative
action to protect nature. In recent years, the country has begun to introduce policies to address environmental risks, particularly in coastal areas.
In the northeast, water resources are becoming increasingly scarce and agriculture is under growing pressure. That’s why we’re working closely with local communities to respond to these challenges together.

Our work in Tunisia

After years of work in Lebanon, we’ve extended our environmental commitment in the Mediterranean by launching a new program in Tunisia, starting in the Sebkhet Soliman wetland—a biodiverse ecosystem of great ecological value—and its surrounding farmland.

We’re testing solutions that benefit both people and nature: innovative wastewater treatment systems, regenerative farming practices, and active community engagement are the cornerstones of an ambitious yet practical action plan.

But our commitment to Tunisia is just beginning. New initiatives are already in development to protect endangered species and forested areas. We're looking to build alliances with Tunisian research centers and international partners to work together in safeguarding local biodiversity.
