Thanks to the BEST RAY project, a community of Maasai shepherds in North Tanzania is using renewable technologies. Small solar systems, energy saving stoves, biogas systems are allowing rural communities, that are always been isolated, to have energy for the first time. Not a polluting energy, but a clean one. African populations are the most affected by climate changes, but using renewable energy is possible to reduce men’s impact on natural resources, to stop deforestation, to increase heath and welfare, and, above all, to satisfy the essential needs, without producing green house gasses.

Istituto Oikos gives you the chance to help spreading those technologies by choosing to buy an improved stove to a friend: your contribution will arrive directly to the Maasai community in Mkuru and your friend will receive a gift card and a jewel realized by the Tanzania Maasai Women Art cooperative. With a 20€ minimum donation you can buy a sustainable gift and contribute to fight against climate changes and poverty.

If you wish to receive another jewel instead you can contact us, by email or by phone, and choose your favourite item with a small additional donation.
