Land use planning
Istituto Oikos collaborates with the local institutions and communities to help them conserve wild lands and manage their natural and cultural heritage for sustainable development and poverty alleviation. The activities are mainly focused on key biodiversity areas in Europe and in developing countries, such as national parks, Life 2000 network and other territories where environmental conservation is integrated with land use planning, water supply improvement and livelihood enhancement.
